Memories By:Miles

Did you ever do something so special to you you can see it over and over?
Well that's what 3N is talking about in writing were  writing stories about our memories.
This lesson reminds us of a story called Wilford Gorden McDonald Partridge.

I learned that we have good memories and bad memories but that's what makes us different.

Letter to Saint Jude by Lauren

Have you ever wrote a letter to saint jude hospotail?????
Well 3N did it this weekend and I got to do one.
It was really spectacular. We got to do it because we had this
really cool lesson when we got to learn about paying it
forward that means when someone bees nice to someone
and then you pass it on.

3N's Lenape Project By Marissa and Sophie

Have you ever had to do a project on a different culture? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be in that same culture? Well, 3N did and we all had a blast! In fact, 3N is still working on it, at center time but we all still are having a blast.

And there is all kinds of different questions and we have to go to this website and get the answers.

For example: Where did lenapes live?

Answer: The Lenape live in an area called lenape hoking.

We 3N love working on projects!!!!!!!

Where am I? By Matthew

Were am I? I am in school learning about were we are besides school. In fact you could start with school then get less and less describing you could find out where you are in the state, county, planet,UNIVERSE! Now that we started social studies and Geography we are learning about the world! By using google 3N visited the town just by viewing still pictures of our town taken by satellite. We had a fun time, everyone was screaming to see they're house or street.

I think the point of this lesson is to learn about the world around us, places, and the world!

Got Character

Have you ever learned about Got Character? An example of got character is caring about others. One more is friendly people. Be kind to others.

I learned that got character is friendly.  I learned that Got Character is being kind. An Exsapol is helping others clean up.

open mind portraits

Have you ever had to do feelings for a character in a book? Well, 3N did and we had a blast on Friday. We did open mind portraits! First we read the book and had to pick a character that we wanted to describe about. Next we had to write down what we thought they were feeling. Then we shared with the class. Finally we had to describe what we thought they were feeling.

For instants say your doing Edward Tulane from what we got from the describing words in the book, we found by the describing words that Edward was TERRIFIED, BLUE and TEAR-FULL. And Abilene was FURIOUS and OUTRAGED, BECAUSE two little boys were throwing Edward Tulane around in the air. So, Abilene tackled one of the boys and the boy that she tackled threw Edward Tulane up, up and out of the ship and Edward Tulane was TERRIFIED and BLUE.

Lego Game

Have you ever played a game with Legos? Well, 3N got to play a Lego  game  and the goal was to make the exact same sculpture out of Legos with out peeking at each other. We had 2 teams, then we had to describe how the sculpture was  made and the other team has to make the same building.

3N learned how to do better teamwork and how to communicate to each other and better describing words.

3Ns muscle models

Did you ever have to twist and bend just to get it right? 3N did last week we made a muscle models.
The things we used are a rubber band, 2 paperclips. a rubber tube and 2 wooden sick. The rubber bands stand for the bicep, the 2 paperclips are the tendons, the rubber tube stands for the joint and the 2 wooden sticks are the bones and all together it is a arm model.

This helps us understand how the arm contracts and relaxes.

My " Bones ! My"Bones !

Have you ever had you're brain struggle very hard memorizing names of bones?
Well once we had to memorize the bone song. Now we now all the main bones in the skeleton  system .
Here are a few bones... Pelvis, Femur, Patella ,Rib,Scapula , and Phalanges.

What's important is say you fell off your skateboard. Your clinic say's you broke your humerus
and the doctor ask you what bone you broke and you said "I don't know".
The point is you have to know what bone to rest on and which bone not to.

Barn owls

Have you seen a barn owl? Well we saw a barn owl on you tube he was eating a mouse and birds. His prey is a mouse and a bird .The owl looks like beautiful, big eyes and have two legs, and two wings. He spits the skin and the bones.

It is important because you can compare the mice bones to our bones.

Extra Recess

Has your school ever had a turn off the TV week? Did your class win? Let us tell you about how our class won and got 15 minutes of extra recess. Well we won it and got to go out side at 2:30. We had the most hours of TV watched on a regular week(66 HOURS!) we had a 49 hour diference so even if another class watched 0 on turn off the TV week and so did we,we still would have won because of our high average!(THAT WAS ONLY AN EXAMPLE!)

Don't wach as much TV like 5 hours about 20 minutes is good. It is better to read!

Welcome to 206 News!

Welcome to 3N's first blog post. This will be the first and only post written by me. This blog will be run by the wonderful students of 3N. The students will have opportunities to reflect on lessons learned in school and document their learning. Please leave comments! We will be reading and discussing them. The goal of this blog is to create a global audience, practice writing using correct grammar and punctuation, enhance our narrative writing skills, and create an opportunity for meaningful technology integration.

If you did not receive an email from me notifying you of this blog post, please let me know so I can add you to the list.

Thank you and enjoy!
